LEARNING IN A CREATIVE WORK ENVIRONMENT

This article examines the specifics of the “teacher – creative student” interaction and the process of teaching creativity to students. It is substantiated that creativity, as a fundamental characteristic of human nature, can manifest in any activity. A direct relationship exists between the development of students’ creativity in the learning process and the acquisition of competence, defined as an individual’s capacity to perform specific types of activities, which is expressed through knowledge, understanding, skills, values, and other personal qualities. The article highlights the increase in psychological tension, stereotyped and rigid thinking among Ukrainians under wartime conditions due to human and material losses, mental and resource exhaustion. In complex and constantly changing conditions of life, crea tive individuals – capable of generating and applying new ideas, approaches, and solutions – are best able to adapt, decide, and work effectively. It is argued that the process of learning at school can be linked to creativity by incorporating core principles of creativity theory into teaching practices. The balance between theoretical and practical, logical and imaginative components of thinking is essential for developing a creative personality. The main task of the teacher is to motivate and encourage both learning and creativity. Learning in a creative work environment to a certain extent guarantees successful performance in less challenging conditions in the future, as well as a constant focus on rationalising one’s work, improving its quality and efficiency. The most important thing a teacher can do for a student is to help them understand and develop their individuality, confirm the importance and significance of their work and its results, promote creativity, and help them choose new ways of personal development.
