IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF SCIENTIFIC AND TEACHING STAFF TRAINING AS A KEY PROBLEM IN THE INDUSTRY OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION IN UKRAINE

The article considers the problem of improving the quality of training of scientific and pedagogical personnel in the field of physical education, since the qualification of employees directly affects its condition, which cannot be considered satisfactory today. The authors emphasize that physical education is the most important component of the entire educational system, therefore, without ensuring a sufficient level of the quality of teaching physics, it is impossible to talk about the effectiveness of the entire education system as a whole. Among the many problems in this aspect, the authors single out two main ones – the lack of motivation among young people to study physics and the catastrophic decrease in the state order for the training of physics teachers, although it is qualified teachers who are able to ensure that students are aware of the prospects of pedagogical and scientific activities in the field of physics and their necessity for the development of the state. The authors express confidence that the currently popular opinion that "everyone can be a teacher" is false and harmful and shows the lack of professionalism of those who support it. It is emphasized that becoming a qualified teacher can only be a person who has been in the environment of a pedagogical higher school during the period of study, because in this environment both educational and social strategies of training a competent specialist are combined, and therefore future teachers have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the problems of the profession. The authors separately dwell on such an important component of the pedagogical environment as scientific and practical conferences. Special attention is paid to the conferences that have been regularly held at the Kamianets-Podilskyi National University for many years and which have become a powerful impetus for the professional self-realization of many now-famous Ukrainian methodologists and scientists. The great contribution to the training of highly qualified scientific and pedagogical personnel in Ukraine will be noted by the founder and permanent leader of these conferences, a well-known Methodist scientist, teacher and generally unique person – Petro Atamanchuk.
