CROSS-DISCIPLINARY APPROACH IN EDUCATION OF FUTURE TEACHERS OF MATHEMATICS

The article examines the cross-disciplinary approach in the training of future mathematics teachers as a modern tool for improving the quality of their professional education. The focus is placed on integrating mathematical disciplines with other sciences, such as physics, economics, computer science, pedagogy, and psychology. The potential of the cross-disciplinary approach to develop critical thinking, creativity, problemsolving abilities, and the application of mathematical knowledge in various contexts is analyzed. The implementation of the cross-disciplinary approach in the training of future mathematics teachers is seen in: solving applied problems, which serves as a preparatory stage for carrying out interdisciplinary projects; directly performing projects during the study of mathematical disciplines provided by the educational program, with the involvement of specialists from other fields. Examples of educational tasks that combine theoretical and practical aspects are provided, and their impact on the formation of professional competencies in future educa tors is substantiated. Conclusions are drawn about the prospects for integrating the cross-disciplinary approach into the system of mathematical education. Directions for implementing cross-disciplinary activities for higher education students are proposed, including the creation of interdisciplinary educational components, the organization of joint research, holding interdisciplinary conferences and seminars, and developing skills in effective communication, teamwork, and conflict management. It has been experimentally established that the crossdisciplinary approach enhances students' motivation, contributes to the development of their professional competencies, and facilitates their adaptation to changes in modern education. The implementation of this strategy is a promising direction in the training of future mathematics teachers, ensuring their readiness for integrative teaching of students.
