PROSPECTS, CHALLENGES AND CONSEQUENCES OF DIGITALIZATION OF THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS IN THE STUDY OF NATURAL SCIENCE DISCIPLINES IN GENERAL SECONDARY EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

The article analyzes the ways and possibilities of using digital tools and technologies to organize the educational process. The advantages and disadvantages of digitalization of education are discussed, emphasizing that overcoming the shortcomings is possible due to the practicality, differentiation, dynamism, mobility and relevance of using this format. Equal technical support of educational institutions and improvement of teachers' ability to work in the new environment significantly improve the quality of education, as students become interested and motivated, which contributes to a thorough and complete assimilation of knowledge on a par with traditional methods. The use of digital tools in education is a key trend in the global educational process. The proper organization of learning with the help of educational applications, software, services and platforms allows effectively achieving educational goals through visualization of processes, quick access to information, prompting processing of large amounts of data and creation of individual learning tasks for each student. The most common digital tools that can be used in general secondary education institutions are considered. It is noted that their use optimizes the educational process, makes it dynamic and interactive, and increases the interest of students through a single registration system and online accessibility. The integration of interactive media and tools makes it easier for teachers to implement innovative methods of presenting material, such as the use of “cases,” research activities, the project method, educational games, etc. This, in turn, contributes to better assimilation of information by students who are in an emotionally comfortable environment that preserves their desire to learn and master new knowledge and innovations.
