Enhancing Service Life Prediction of Marine Concrete Structures: Insights from Systematic Review to Model Revision
This review paper systematically summarizes a series of service life prediction models and their applicable range, boundary conditions, and the impact factors respectively that may affect the service life. In addition, it presents a modified model utilizing electromagnetic sensor signals to enhance the estimation of traditional service life that accurately identifies the timing of corrosion initiation in concrete and enables more precise service life prediction while considering nonuniform corrosion in practical engineering. Finally, it compares the service environment between the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and the Qingdao Jiaozhou Bay Bridge while considering key parameters for evaluating the remaining service life.
