Sensitivity analysis of the hydraulic fluid filtration model

In article, authors tried to fill the research gap, which is the lack of a filtration numerical model, based on the filtration efficiency coefficient (Beta Ratio) of hydraulic filters. Developed model allows determining the influence of selected parameters of filtration systems on the separation of contaminants by hydraulic filters. In publication also included a sensitivity analysis aimed at determining the influence of selected parameters of filtration systems on improving cleanliness class of hydraulic fluids. The results of the conducted numerical analyzes quantitatively indicate which parameters of filtration systems have the largest impact on the removal of contaminants from the hydraulic fluid. Despite popular opinion, increasing the Beta coefficient of filter s above the minimum recommended value of βx=75 does not significantly improve the cleanless of the medium. The developed mathematical model and the performed numerical analyzes are intended to help designers, constructors and users of hydrostatic drives and controls in the selection or modification of the filtration system.
