CNTs’ Agglomeration Effect on Dynamic Behavior of Sandwich P-NC Sector Plates Via 2D GDQM Based On Mori–Tanaka Approach
This work studies the free vibration of three-layered porous-nanocomposite sector plates due to the need for lightweight and technologically advanced structures. Functionally graded carbon nanotube-reinforced composites and functionally graded porous materials made up the facesheets and core of the plates. The plate rests on top of an elastic substrate, and the mechanical properties of each layer change as one moves along the thickness dimension. Employing the Mori–Tanaka method will determine the effective values of the mechanical characteristics of the reinforced facesheets, considering the agglomeration effect of carbon nanotubes (CNTs). Next, the first-order shear deformation theory finds the motion equations and boundary conditions. These are then solved numerically using the 2D generalized differential quadrature method for different combinations of boundary conditions. Several characteristics that affect the results, including pore distributions, porosity coefficient, pore compressibility, CNT agglomeration, elastic substrate, and boundary conditions, are considered.
