BIOLOGICAL CONTROL OF FRUIT CROPS DISEASES AFTER HARVEST
This article provides an overview of the use of microbial antagonists (fungi, bacteria, and yeast) as biological control agents against various pathogenic fungi that cause post-harvest rotting of fruit crops. From a review of the literature data, it has been established that a lot of work is being done everywhere to search for biocontrol agents against rot. Information is provided on the use of various microorganisms as a basis for the creation of biological products: bacteria Bacillus subtilis, Pseudomonas syringae, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, fungi of the genera Trichoderma, Epicoccum, Penicillium, Aureobasidium pullulans, Pantoea agglomeran and yeast Debaryomyces hansenii, Metschnikowia pulcherrima, Candida oleophila and Wickerhamomyces anomalous. Based on them, several commercial ones have been developed against fruit rot drugs: Aspire (Ecogen Inc., Langhorne, PA, USA); Candifruit (Spicam-Ingra, Valencia, Spain); Nexy (BioNext sprl, France). All of them have demonstrated good efficiency. An analysis of the literature has shown that they can play an important role in the biological control of fungi that cause putrefactive diseases of fruit products during long-term storage.
