Through praxis of Gajo Petrovic towards novum
Dehumanizing, alienating relationships imply that man does not realize himself, that he has not yet become human, and that, in Praxis terms speaking, history has not yet begun. A different course of action is needed, a completely new, yet unrealized relationship between the individual and the collective - a novum is necessary. Gajo Petrovic sees a humanizing way of action and social relations in creativity. Through creativity, alienation is overcome - it is one of the possibilities unique to humans, through the realization of which a person is directed toward emancipatory practice. On the other hand, person?s ontological position of choice allows them to also choose dystopian content. However, neither alienating nor liberating relationships are possible without the fulfillment of the most basic existential needs. Aesthetics, culture, science, technology - in all these fields of human work, content that is labeled as progress is rightly pointed out. Progress depends on both the collective and the individual simultaneously. Without common work and togetherness, what we call progress would remain limited in scope and would never reach the scale of society as a whole. Therefore, true progress and authentic new is exclusively that which deprives every individual of scarcity, misery, poverty, homelessness, hunger? The concentric nature of existence - where history cannot exist without nature, and aesthetic pursuits cannot exist without fulfilling existential needs - ought to be realized through practice as a concentric becoming. In other words, if we seek a place for authentic new, its spot, it undoubtedly lies at the bottom, at the foundation of society, at the beginning.
