ECONOMIC POTENTIAL OF DAGESTAN IN THE CONTEXT OF DEVELOPMENT OF THE NORTH-SOUTH INTERTRANSPORT CORRECTION

The article examines the role of the Republic of Dagestan in the development of the international transport corridor “North-South” in the context of current geopolitical tensions and economic challenges. The analysis of the strategic importance of the region and the assessment of its transit potential are carried out, and the factors that hinder economic growth are identified. Based on the analysis, a set of measures aimed at the socio-economic development of the Republic of Dagestan as a key element of the ITC “North-South” is substantiated in order to realize its transit potential and increase the competitiveness of the Russian economy in the context of geopolitical instability. The results of the study can be used by government bodies and administration to make informed decisions in the field of regional economic policy and the development of transport infrastructure.
