A Torres-type formula for the Alexander polynomial of spatial graphs

This paper introduces the ordered linking divisor, which is a generalization of the linking number of a link to two-component spatial graphs, and states its geometric meaning. We generalize the Torres-type formula for the Alexander polynomial to [Formula: see text]-component spatial graphs using the proposed ordered linking divisor.

Abstract

This paper introduces the ordered linking divisor, which is a generalization of the linking number of a link to two-component spatial graphs, and states its geometric meaning. We generalize the Torres-type formula for the Alexander polynomial to [Formula: see text]-component spatial graphs using the proposed ordered linking divisor.
