Development of coordination abilities in judo wrestling by means of gymnastics

The article deals with the fact that judo wrestling is a complex and coordinating sport. It is shown that among motor abilities one of the central places is occupied by coordination abilities. The purpose of the research is to consider the use of gymnastics means in the training process for the development of coordination abilities of children of primary training in judo wrestling. Research methods: analysis of scientific and methodical literature; study and generalisation of the leading pedagogical experience; pedagogical observations. Results. Judo wrestling is one of the most spectacular sports among children and adolescents. The problem of physical (motor) abilities is one of the most important in the pedagogy, psychology and physiology of physical education and sports, and at the same time a subject of ongoing discussion. One of the main tasks at the stage of initial training in judo is the development of coordination abilities of young athletes. It is determined that the coordination abilities of children of initial training achieve the greatest development under the influence of the use of complex coordinated sports. The means of gymnastics on the basis of acrobatic exercises are considered: a roll forward and backward, a wheel, a flip from a head, a flip forward, a flip with a turn (rondat) and static exercises. Conclusions. The success of training new motor actions and improvement of their learned forms, which are manifested in all spheres of motor activity, depends on the development of coordination. The use of gymnastics means in judo wrestling trainings resulted in the improvement of coordination abilities which influence on indicators of training and competitive activity of children of initial training.
