Utilization of Methods for Developing Psychophysiological Properties in Training Sessions of Young Taekwondo Athletes

The article presents proposals for the development of psychophysiological properties in young taekwondo athletes aged 10-12 during training sessions. The proposed methods include a set of exercises aimed at developing reaction speed, attention properties, and short-term memory in young taekwondo athletes, with an emphasis on the operational perception and reproduction of visual information, as well as rapid responses to stimuli by focusing attention on stationary objects and unexpected, unpredictable stimuli. In developing these methods, the age characteristics (10-12 years) and preparedness level of young taekwondo athletes were considered. This implies performing exercises predominantly in a game-based format and utilizing a wide arsenal of mastered technical and tactical techniques of ITF Taekwon-Do. An important feature of the proposed exercises is the ability to adjust their difficulty based on individual differences in information perception, memory properties, and attention characteristics of young athletes. The implementation of the proposed means and approaches to the development of psychophysiological properties of young taekwondo athletes into the practice of their training activities can contribute to a more effective development of these qualities, which, in turn, will have a positive impact on the effectiveness of technical and tactical techniques in the process of competitive activity. Prospects for further research lie in further testing the proposed means of developing the psychophysiological properties of young taekwondo athletes in training sessions and identifying the effectiveness of their implementation.
