The influence of athletic gymnastics on speed-power abilities in young people 18-20 years old who are involved in greco-roman wrestling
Abstract. The article highlights the issues of the use and influence of athletic gymnastics on the speed-power abilities of Greco-Roman wrestlers 18-20 years old. Every year the level of development of Greco-Roman wrestling as a sport increases, and new opportunities open up for wrestlers to find reserves for improving their technical arsenal. Typically, wrestlers who first started doing Greco-Roman wrestling are able to increase their sports achievements by 30- 40% in a year, the next year the increase in sports results is already smaller and then with each year there is a tendency to decrease it, although it is not excluded that individual athletes after 7-8 years of regular training are able to increase their results in a year more than in the previous one. It should be noted that Greco-Roman wrestling classes aimed at achieving high sports results are accompanied by significant changes not only in morphological but also in functional indicators. In addition, the level of development of speed- strength qualities of wrestlers, the level of development of flexibility of athletes and, of course, the level of psychological readiness play an important role in achieving high sports results. All of the above obliges trainers-teachers to look for new ways to improve the level of speed-strength indicators of wrestlers engaged in Greco-Roman wrestling. The relevance of this issue became the prerequisite for conducting this study.
