Pisana kulturna baština u digitalnom arhivu INFOBIRO – izazovi i mogućnosti

Digitization of cultural heritage is one of the ways to preserve and make cultural heritage accessible, which also brings of technical, economic, and legal challenges. The paper presents the challenges and experiences of the INFOBIRO Digital Archive (www.infobiro.ba) as a non-governmental organization in the processes of digitization, increasing the availability of written cultural heritage (newspaper materials), and the challenges of ensuring the availability of content in the archive. The aim of this paper is to highlight the importance of NGOs as one of the actors in the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage through the INFOBIRO Digital Archive, and to offer guidelines for future projects that include cooperation between non-governmental organizations, heritage institutions and other partners.
