SOLIDAGO CANADENSIS-DERIVED NITROGEN/PHOSPHORUS CO-DOPED HARD CARBON AS ADVANCED ANODE MATERIAL FOR SODIUM-ION BATTERIES
Biomass-derived hard carbon, a potential negative electrode material of sodium ion batteries (SIBs), has been deemed promising due to its low cost, abundant availability, and high theoretical capacity. However, the low initial Coulomb efficiency significantly hinders its development. In this study, we have developed nitrogen and phosphorus co-doped hard carbon using Solidago Canadensis (SC) as a biomass precursor through a simple chemical process. When used as an anode for SIBs, the nitrogen and phosphorus co-doped hard carbon material derived from Solidago Canadensis (SCHC-NP) exhibits high reversible specific capacity (initial discharge capacity of 438.8 mAh⋅g[Formula: see text] at 0.02 A⋅g[Formula: see text] and excellent cycling stability (356.1 mAh⋅g[Formula: see text] after 45 cycles at 0.02 A⋅g[Formula: see text]), displaying superior sodium storage capabilities.
