Observation on the therapeutic effect of acupoint application therapy combined with Western medicine in the treatment of pediatric bronchopneumonia
Objective: Observe the application effect of acupoint application therapy combined with Western medicine treatment in children with bronchopneumonia. Method: Seventy pediatric patients with bronchopneumonia admitted to the Department of Pediatrics at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xingtai Medical College from September 2022 to April 2023 were randomly divided into two groups, with 35 cases in each group, using a random number table method. The control group received conventional Western medicine treatment, while the treatment group received additional acupoint application treatment on this basis. After 7 days of intervention, compare the treatment effects, symptoms, and signs improvement between the two groups. Result: The total effective rate of the treatment group (97.1%) was significantly higher than that of the control group (77.2%), and the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05); The treatment group had significantly shorter fever relief time, cough and sputum resolution time, and chest X-ray inflammation absorption time compared to the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Acupoint application combined with Western medicine in the treatment of children with bronchophenitis can further promote the improvement of patients' symptoms, with high safety, significantly shorten the time for symptom improvement, and enhance the curative effect.
