Exploring Interdisciplinary Integrated Teaching Models for Medical College English : Based on the Dundee Ready Education Environment Measure (DREEM)
This study investigates the impact of interdisciplinary integrated teaching models on medical students learning English, using the Dundee Ready Education Environment Measure (DREEM) inventory for assessment. Factor analyses reveal that student engagement and teacher effectiveness significantly influence perceptions of teaching quality. Gender differences in perceptions highlight the need for gender-sensitive strategies. SEM analysis confirms the DREEM instrument's adaptability and supports the effectiveness of our teaching models. Results emphasize fostering supportive, interactive learning environments and adapting teaching strategies to enhance student engagement, satisfaction, and overall educational outcomes. These findings offer valuable insights for improving medical education through interdisciplinary approaches.
