Research on the Formation Mechanism and Bridging Path of University Teachers' Digital Chasm from the Perspective of Technology Availability
The deep integration of teachers and technology has become an irreversible general trend, while the "digital Chasm" problem, like a barrier, hinders the overall improvement of educational equity and quality, and becomes a key issue to be solved urgently. Through literature combing, the connotation of Digital Chasm has gone beyond the difference of network environment configuration at the physical level, focusing on the difference of intelligent interaction level from the perspective of technological availability. The core of the way to bridge the "digital Chasm"of university teachers lies in the fact that teachers can actively and continuously interact and integrate with technical subjects in different educational situations. Faculty’s personal iteration is the key driving force to cross the current "digital Chasm" barrier of university faculty. Based on the value concept of balancing the equality of educational opportunities with the balanced distribution of resources, it is necessary to form a consensus and resultant force to explore the way to bridge the digital Chasm of university teachers from the following four dimensions. Firstly, We should strengthen the construction of teachers' subject identity in the practice of educational informatization. Secondly, We should create a big educational data model for all teachers to share. Thirdly, We should enhance teachers’ digital thinking and literacy. Lastly, We should strengthen the construction of teachers’ subject identity in the practice of educational informatization. The fourth is to enrich and optimize digital application scenarios in educational institutions.
