Approximate Multiplication of LR Trapezoidal Fuzzy Numbers and its Application

In this paper, the approximate multiplication of LR trapezoidal fuzzy numbers and a class of full LR trapezoidal fuzzy linear systems <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\tilde{A}\tilde{x}=\tilde{\mathrm{b}}$</tex> are studied. Based on the arithmetic operation of LR trapezoidal fuzzy numbers, the original LR trapezoidal fuzzy linear system is extended to a crisp system of linear equations. Then the fuzzy approximate solution is obtained by solving the extended linear systems. An illustrating numerical example shows the effectiveness of the proposed method.
