ENERGY EFFICIENCY OF SMART CITIES: ECONOMIC ASPECTS OF IMPLEMENTATION OF NEW TECHNOLOGIES
Growing energy consumption in cities requires the implementation of smart energy systems aimed at optimizing resources and increasing energy efficiency. The use of the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI) and renewable energy sources allows reducing operating costs, minimizing network losses and increasing the reliability of energy supply. The article considers the economic aspects of the implementation of new technologies, including an analysis of costs, investment attractiveness and potential risks. Key financial mechanisms for the digitalization of energy systems are identified, the prospects for public-private partnership and the impact of technological transformation on city budgets are assessed.
