CYBERSECURITY AND ITS IMPACT ON INVESTMENT ATTRACTIVENESS OF COMPANIES
The growth of cyber threats in the digital economy makes cybersecurity a critical factor in the investment attractiveness of companies. Data protection, resilience to cyber-attacks, and regulatory compliance have a direct impact on asset prices, investor confidence, and access to capital. Cyber incidents lead to financial losses, reputational risks, and a decrease in market capitalization, making corporate cybersecurity strategies an integral element of risk management. The article examines the economic consequences of cyber-attacks, the impact of a company’s level of security on investment decisions and access to financing, and the role of national and international standards in shaping a safe digital space. It analyzes industry differences in investor perceptions of cyber risks, as well as prospects for regulation and the introduction of cyber insurance as an asset protection mechanism.
