Bridging the gap: overcoming barriers to implementing gene expression profiling in clinical practice
Precision oncology aims to transform cancer treatment by enabling more tailored therapeutic strategies based on the molecular characteristics of each patient’s tumor. Gene expression profiling (GEP) assays play a critical role in this paradigm shift, providing insights into tumor biology, prognosis, and potential treatment responses.1 In breast cancer, GEP assays have demonstrated significant value in guiding clinical decisions, particularly in tailoring adjuvant chemotherapy for patients with luminal-like breast cancer.
