PROBLEMS OF COMBATING CRIMINAL ACTIVITY AND FINANCING OF EXTREMIST ORGANIZATIONS IN RUSSIA AT PRESENT

Criminal activity and financing of extremist organizations pose a serious threat to the economic security of the state. These factors not only undermine the legitimacy of state institutions, but also contribute to the destabilization of the economic situation in the country. The purpose of our study is to identify the problems of economic security associated with criminal activity and financing of extremist organizations in the Russian Federation and to develop scientific approaches to solving the identified problems. The research methodology is based on a theoretical analysis of the main scientific provisions, as well as statistical analysis of data. The information and empirical basis of the study were statistical data contained in reference, statistical and analytical materials of a number of federal ministries and departments - the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the Ministry of Finance of Russia, the regulatory framework of the Russian Federation, scientific articles, textbooks, monographs by domestic and foreign authors, as well as Internet resources. The scientific novelty of the problem of economic security associated with criminal activity and financing of extremist organizations in the Russian Federation lies in the integrated approach to the analysis of methods for ensuring economic stability and combating threats arising from the shadow economy. The study showed the need to improve mechanisms for the prevention, detection and suppression of such crimes, with a particular focus on working with young people and preventing radicalization on the Internet. The study identified key findings related to economic security issues related to criminal activity and the financing of extremist organizations in the Russian Federation. In addition, the study identified the need to strengthen law enforcement practices and coordination between various government agencies to effectively combat economic threats emanating from the criminal environment. It is recommended to develop a comprehensive strategy that includes educational and awareness-raising activities to raise public awareness of this problem. These measures will help strengthen economic security and reduce the level of criminalization of society.
