A CPW Fed Dual Band High Frequency Antenna for IoT Applications

In this paper, a low-profile antenna suitable for 5G applications and Internet of Things (IoT) devices with the height of $\mathbf{0. 2 5 4} \mathrm{mm}$ (about $0.0030 \lambda$) and with tiny dimensions of 15 mm X 40 mm (about $0.18 \lambda \times 0.48 \lambda$) is designed and analyzed. The frequency range that the antenna radiating is from 3 GHz to 6 GHz. The proposed antenna is designed to meet the stringent requirements of modern wireless communication systems, which include high efficiency, broad bandwidth, and small size. We recommend low-profile CPW (Co-planar Wave-guide) antenna with 0.254 mm thick to reduce power loss. The CPW antenna consists of an asymmetric inverted F-shaped radiating slot, a feed line and a top ground. The recommended tri-band antenna is easy to use. Plotting the suggested antenna versus the operating frequency reveals an extremely high efficiency of over $95 \%$ with the Gain 3.45 dBi is used for 5G network applications operating at dual-band.
