Modeling and Simulation of Metal Oxide Surge Arrester in Complex Environment
Monitoring the leakage current of surge arrester can find its defects in time, which is of great significance to the security and stability of power system. But the complex environment will increase the difficulty of on-line monitoring the leakage current of surge arrester. Based on the equivalent circuit, the surge arrester is modeled and simulated by MATLAB Simulink software. The effects of surface contamination, voltage harmonics, voltage fluctuation and deterioration on the leakage current of surge arrester are studied. This paper summarizes the influence of different conditions on capacitive component, resistive component, amplitude, phase and harmonic of arrester leakage current, which lays a foundation for the online monitoring of surge arrester leakage current.
