A CLINICAL CASE OF HEREDITARY FACTOR VIII DEFICIENCY IN A NEWBORN
Objective. Present the characteristics of the clinical course of hemophilia A in a newborn, the stages of diagnosis, and treatment. Materials and Methods. A retrospective analysis of medical documentation was carried out: the exchange card of the pregnant woman, the woman in labor, and the woman in labor (form No. 113/u-20); the individual medical card of the pregnant woman and the woman in labor (form No. 111/u-20); the history of the newborn's development (form No. 097/u). Results. A clinical case of hemophilia A in a newborn child is presented in the form of cutaneous hemorrhagic syndrome, with hematomic type of bleeding on the first day of life. Conclusion. Severe hemophilia A (hereditary factor VIII deficiency) is a rare disease that manifests itself in the neonatal period. The cause of the disease in this newborn is not related to a hereditary family history, but rather a high probability of spontaneous mutation of a large gene for blood coagulation factor VIII. The timely diagnosis is important, the key method of which is to evaluate the indicators of coagulological examination, determine the activity of the factor, and ensure its correction in optimal time to reduce mortality and improve quality of life.
