AVALIAÇÃO DA AUTOPERCEPÇÃO DA SAÚDE BUCAL EM IDOSOS DO LAR LEAL
The elderly population deserves more and more attention, especially when it comes to health. With social and demographic inequalities, these elderly people tend not to take an interest in their oral health, giving up on other things such as housing, work and other determining factors. In this study, a questionnaire will be made available with questions about how the sample is feeling in relation to oral health, with answers ranging from 0 to 9, where they will be able to express themselves. This questionnaire will be taken from the SB Brasil Project, which is a study of the oral health conditions of the Brazilian population, carried out under the National Oral Health Policy (PNSB), better known as Smiling Brazil. This study will be carried out with a number of elderly people aged 60 or over, who live in a home for the elderly, either left by their families or adopted by the institution, so that they have a good quality of life. With this we will be able to make comparisons and statistics, addressing the behavior, mental health, diet and lifestyle of these people. The self-perception assessment seeks to identify risk factors, such as periodontal disease, abscesses, missing or poorly adapted prostheses, how they see and self-assess themselves, knowing this, we will be able to enter with the complementary team, referring this portion to respective treatments, both psychological and oral and general.
