Mechanization of fine art as a prerequisite for the emergence of photography
The article examines the main stages of the development of mechanization of fine art, presents the main devices and instruments, and tells about their creators. It analyzes how the centuries-old development of activities in this direction, combined with the achievements of various sciences, led to the emergence of photography. The aim of the research is to establish a relationship between the development of mechanical instruments for creating works of fine art by artists and the invention of photography. The scientific novelty lies in identifying little-studied aspects of the use of devices (including optical ones) for creating illustrations in a historical perspective, and also makes a contribution to understanding the evolution of ways to simplify the work of artists in the process of obtaining and replicating images, which allows expanding the understanding of the impact of mechanical instruments on fine art. As a result of the study, a relationship was revealed between the development of ways to simplify the artist's work and the advent of photography, while the fixation of images using daguerreotype technology and other methods would not have been possible without the achievements and research activities of scientists in various fields of science.
