Specificity of the formal structure of terminological collocations in the English and German languages of the sphere of high-speed railway lines

The aim of the research is to establish the common and nationally specific features in the representation of the formal structure of terminological collocations in the subfield of "High-Speed Railway Lines" in English and German. The scientific novelty of the research is determined by the fact that the article conducts a comparative study of the formal structure of terminological collocations in the field of high-speed railway lines based on the material of English and German languages. The paper describes the types of terminological collocations that are most productive in the English and German-language vocabulary of high-speed railway transport; examples of the main models of formation of multilingual terminological collocations are given; their key features are highlighted. As a result of the research, it was first established that the most productive models for the formation of two-component collocations of high-speed railway lines terminology in English are the models Adj. + N. (adj. + noun) and N. + N. (noun + noun); in German – the model Sub. + Sub. (noun + noun). At the same time, the proportion of two-component terms is somewhat higher in English than in German (54% versus 49%).
