Names of actors of the wedding ceremony in the Yakut language

The aim of the research is to describe the semantic features of the names of actors in the wedding ceremony in the Yakut language. The article analyzes the names of participants in the wedding ceremony: those entering into marriage, relatives of the bride and groom, matchmakers, and persons performing and participating in the rituals. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the fact that the names of the actors of the wedding ceremony in the Yakut language are being studied for the first time. During the study, the names of the main participants in the wedding ceremony, their associates, relatives and guests, as well as persons performing various rituals and participating in them, were identified and described. As a result of the study, it was revealed that the names of the actors of the wedding ceremony are, for the most part, common Turkic, many of which date back to the Old Turkic language and retain their original semantics. There are also purely Yakut phraseological units from common Turkic bases and Mongolian borrowings. In structural terms, the terms under study are simple and complex words of two components, as well as set expressions. The lexemes considered are common, of limited use, and obsolete. In the process of semantic transformations occurring in the vocabulary of the modern Yakut language, some names have been expanded, others have narrowed in meaning.
