Hubungan Kadar Kalsium dalam Darah Ibu Hamil dengan Kejadian Preeklampsia di RSUD Dr. H. Abdul Moeloek Provinsi Lampung

ABSTRACT Preeclampsia is when systolic blood pressure (BP) ≥ 140 mmHg and diastolic ≥ 90 mmHg which occurs after 20 weeks of pregnancy, and there is proteinuria ≥ 300 mg/24 hours. Preeclampsia is one of the biggest causes of maternal mortality in Indonesia, therefore many studies have been conducted to determine the factors associated with the incidence of preeclampsia. One of the factors that is closely related to the incidence of preeclampsia is the level of calcium in the blood. In Lampung Province the maternal mortality rate in 2019 caused by preeclampsia is 28% of the total maternal mortality rate. Therefore researchers want to conduct research on the relationship between calcium levels in the blood of pregnant women and the incidence of preeclampsia in Lampung Province, especially at Abdul Moeloek Hospital Lampung Province. This study uses observational analytic with a case control approach. The sampling method in this study is purposive sampling. Data collection used medical records and obtained a sample of 120 patients with details of 60 cases and 60 controls. Data analysis used the chi square test. The results of the chi square test, obtained a value of P = 0.003, meaning that there is a significant relationship between calcium levels in the blood of pregnant women and the incidence of preeclampsia at RSUD Dr. H. Abdul Moeloek Lampung Province in 2021. The calculation results of the Odd Ratio (OR) = 5 (95% CI = 1.76-14.78) indicate that pregnant women with abnormal calcium levels are 5 times at risk of suffering from preeclampsia than mothers pregnant with normal calcium levels. There is a significant relationship between calcium levels in the blood of pregnant women and the incidence of preeclampsia. Keywords: Pregnant Women, Blood Calcium Levels, Preeclampsia.
