Standardization of the “Questionnaire of Threats to Psychological Safety”

The standardization of the author's questionnaire has been carried out to identify threats to psychological safety. The questionnaire includes 36 questions grouped into 8 scales reflecting various types of threats: military, economic, natural, social, informational, and health threats, an integral scale is used to assess the overall threat. The following methods were used for standardization: assessment of internal consistency and structural validity (Cronbach's Alpha); criterion validity for the Military threat scale (nonparametric Mann-Whitney U-test); determination of cross-validation (Spearman correlation coefficient); calculation of the average norm on each scale (arithmetic mean and standard deviation). Subjects: 123 students of 1—3 courses — 73 people from Moscow aged from 16 to 20 years, 50 people from the Belgorod region aged from 15 to 20 years. Result. The structural reliability of the main scales of the author's questionnaire has been proved (Cronbach's alpha = 0.470—0.689). Statistically significant correlations between the scales of the author's questionnaire and the scales of other methods were revealed (“The methodology for determining stress resistance and social adaptation of Holmes and Rage”, “The questionnaire of traumatic situations Life Experience Questionnaire (LEQ)” in adaptation by N.V. Tarabrina). The results of the correlation analysis confirm the high validity of the questionnaire. The normative indicators for each scale have been determined, which correspond to the low level of severity of each of the threats. Conclusion: the author's questionnaire is a reliable and valid tool for diagnosing and monitoring threats to psychological safety.
