Habitat quality is currently a hot topic in international urban research. In China, with the continuous advancement of urban social construction, how to improve the quality of habitat environment at the settlement level has become an important proposition of the new urbanization strategy. This paper takes Beixinqiao Street in Dongcheng District, Beijing, as the research object, and based on relevant theories, constructs the Beijing Habitat Space Evaluation System from the dimensions of built environment and residents’ needs, and evaluates the quality of the habitat environment of Beixinqiao Street in Dongcheng District, Beijing, in the process of urban regeneration. The built environment includes the safety, health, convenience, and comfort of the community, while the residents’ needs include four parts: living needs, safety needs, social needs, and self-needs. The results show that the evaluation of the built environment and residents’ needs has large internal differences, and the shortcomings are obvious, but the overall evaluation is high, and the residents generally have high expectations for the living environment in terms of cleanliness, safety, and convenience. Finally, this paper combines the actual situation of Beixinqiao Street and puts forward a set of strategies for improving the quality of human settlements suitable for the area, which provides a reference for urban renewal and the improvement of residents’ quality of life.
