Study on AI-enabled HR Strategic Transformation from a Digitalization Perspective: Taking IBM as an Example

This paper examines IBM's strategic HR transformation driven by digitalization and AI technologies. It analyzes how IBM achieves efficient resource management and innovation while addressing challenges such as global competition, rapid technological evolution, and diverse customer demands. This paper adopts a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods, and reveals the key success factors of IBM's strategic transformation in human resource management through case studies, comparative analysis and data analysis. At the same time, the study also focuses on the technological and moral and ethical challenges encountered during the transformation process, thus exploring the response strategies adopted by IBM. The findings reveal that IBM's transformation framework significantly optimizes HR structures, elevates employee competencies and satisfaction, and fosters innovation—demonstrating the tangible impact of AI integration in strategic HRM.Based on this, the study indicates that future research should further explore the deep application of AI technology in HRM and how to balance the relationship between technological advancement and employee well-being, so as to contribute to the theoretical and practical innovation in the field of HRM.
