Current Stress Optimization Control of Maximum Power Port of Triple Active Bridge Converter Based on Power Becoupling Modulation

The current optimization of triple active bridge (TAB) converter is primarily based on frequency domain models, which suffer from issues such as insufficient optimization accuracy, complex decoupling control, and a single optimization objective. To address the comprehensive requirements of optimization accuracy and multi-objective control, an optimal control method based on power decoupling modulation and time domain model is proposed, which takes the current stress of the TAB maximum power port as the optimization objective. Firstly, the TAB system with power decoupling waveform structural characteristics is equivalent to two relatively independent DABs, and the time domain modeling is carried out on this basis. Subsequently, the current stress of the maximum power port in each local optimal mode is optimized by genetic algorithm. Based on the optimization results, the intrinsic rule among the control variables within each mode are analyzed. Furthermore, corresponding optimized control variables and stress function expressions are derived based on these intrinsic rules. Finally, by comparing the current stress of different optimal operating modes, the global optimal mode and the global optimal control variables are selected. Based on the power decoupling modulation and time domain model, this method optimizes the current stress of the maximum power port of TAB, which not only realizes the power decoupling control, but also reduces the optimization complexity and enhances its accuracy. This optimal control strategy enables real-time stress optimization control under power fluctuations in the entire power range. Simulation and experiments confirm the correctness of the theoretical analysis and the effectiveness of the optimization control strategy.
