An Information Aggregation and Cellular Automata Based Flood Simulation Method and its Application on Weifang City Urban Area

In recent years, the frequent occurrence of extreme weather events has put forward higher requirements for the prediction and management of urban flooding. In this study, an information aggregation methods and Cellular Automata flood simulation model based on Caflood-Pro program are suggested, and the flood disaster in the urban area of Weifang City is simulated and analyzed with these model and methodology. The results show that the depth and extent of flooding in the urban area of Weifang City significantly expand with the increase of rainfall return period. The simulation results under different rainfall timescales show that the flood depth and inundation extent show significant differences with changes in rainfall intensity and time.
