Optimal allocation of energy storage in distribution networks for suppressing the impactivity of high-power loads
With the increasing number of shock loads such as high-power motors in industrial parks in distribution networks, shock loads cause power quality degradation in distribution networks when they are connected and withdrawn, and energy storage is an effective method to solve the voltage quality problem. A distributed energy storage configuration method to suppress the impact of shock loads is proposed to address the voltage quality problem of distribution networks caused by shock loads. First, the impact of shock load on distribution network voltage quality is analyzed, and the boundary conditions for energy storage capacity and maximum power setting are obtained based on the analysis of the compensation mechanism of energy storage on voltage; second, a two-layer planning model for user-side energy storage configuration is established based on the boundary conditions for energy storage capacity and power, and the planning layer model optimizes the power and capacity of energy storage with the objective of minimizing the annual cost, and the operation layer model optimizes the scheduling of energy storage with the objective of minimizing the annual operation cost of the distribution network. The planning layer model optimizes the power and capacity of energy storage with the objective of minimizing annual cost, and the operation layer model optimizes the scheduling of energy storage with the objective of minimizing annual operation cost of the distribution network. The simulation results show that the proposed user-side energy storage allocation method can effectively suppress the voltage overrun problem caused by inrush loads, and at the same time, it has better economy.
