THE ROLE OF THE NOTARY IN DISPUTE RESOLUTION

The article examines the issue of the legal consequences of various kinds of extrajudicial conciliation procedures in the field of civil jurisdiction. Based on an analysis of the norms of substantive and procedural Russian legislation, a conclusion was made about the practical inexpediency of the mediation procedure, both a mandatory method of resolving civil legal conflicts and an optional one. It is proposed to assign the function of extrajudicial conciliators (mediators) to privately practicing notaries.
