Current Measurement and Distribution in Hybrid DC Circuit Breakers Based on Hall Sensors
Aiming at the problems of large volume, high cost and limited range of traditional current sensors in hybrid DC circuit breakers, a new current measurement method based on dual Hall chips is proposed. Through theoretical analysis of the magnetic field distribution of the current copper under steady-state and transient current conditions, an optimized groove structure is designed to enhance the magnetic field response, so that the dual-Hall chip can accurately measure up to 3000 A current to meet the practical application requirements of DC circuit breakers. The experimental results show that the measured values are highly consistent with the simulation results under steady-state conditions, which verifies the feasibility of the proposed scheme. At the same time, this paper analyzes the influence of groove structure on current density distribution and magnetic field distribution from both theoretical and experimental aspects, and discusses the dynamic response characteristics under transient current conditions. The research results provide theoretical support for the design of high-precision and large-range current sensors, and have important engineering application value.
