Analysis of JPEXIT Decoding Thresholds for DP-LDPC Based on Global and Separating Strategies
Double Photograph LDPC Codes (DP-LDPC) demonstrate superior Bit Error Rate (BER) performance in Joint Source-Channel Coding (JSCC) systems compared to Source-Channel Separation Coding systems. To analyze the theoretical performance of DP-LDPC codes, this paper employs Joint Photograph Extrinsic Information Transfer (JPEXIT) chats as a tool for performance assessment. We design both global strategy and separating strategy JPEXIT for decoding threshold analysis. The results indicate that the decoding thresholds of the global strategy and separating strategy JPEXIT are nearly equal under the same joint base matrix. Additionally, the time complexity of both strategies is the same. However, from the perspectives of code implementation complexity and program execution time, the global strategy JPEXIT is more advantageous.
