Low loss and distribution pump circuit for high precision PLL
This paper, a low-loss distribution Charge Pump for charge pump Phase-Locked Loop (CPPLL) is designed to solve the leakage current effect by an improved source switch. The problems of charge sharing effect, amplifier common-mode voltage limit and current source mismatch are solved by using two amplifier clamps. So the overall performance of charge pump PLL can be improved. The simulation results show that when the supply voltage is 1.8V, the charge pump current is 41μA, and the output voltage is 0.3V~1.5V, the electrical loss of the charge pump is less than 0.097%, which meets the application requirements of high-performance charge pump PLL.
