Research on Efficient Routing Algorithm for Mesh On-Chip Networks Based on Transpose Traffic Pattern

The advancement of integrated circuit technology has propelled the development of Network-on-Chip (NoC), with the Mesh structure being widely applied in NoC. In Mesh network structures, the transpose traffic pattern has garnered significant attention due to its ability to balance network loads, reduce network congestion, and enhance resource utilization. This paper proposes a NoC routing algorithm based on the transpose traffic pattern for Mesh network structures. By employing different routing decisions in various regions, the algorithm effectively improves the average network throughput and reduces network latency. Simulation experiments have confirmed that compared to traditional algorithms, this algorithm significantly enhances network performance.
