ExpoLine: Innovating Local History Museums with Web-Based Virtual Tour and VR Integration

This paper presents the development of ExpoLine, an innovative web-based virtual museum platform that aims to transform how users access and interact with local history museums. The platform leverages immersive virtual reality (VR) technology and interactive multimedia content to replicate the experience of physical museum visits, thus making historical exploration more engaging and accessible. By integrating features such as 360-degree tours, clickable exhibits, and real-time user interaction, ExpoLine seeks to modernize digital education and expand the reach of museums beyond their physical limitations. The study focuses on a collaborative case with Museo ni Rizal, showcasing how the platform enhances public access to historical artifacts and narratives while fostering a deeper appreciation for cultural heritage. Evaluation of ExpoLine using ISO 25010:2023 standards indicate high performance in areas such as functional suitability, efficiency, and usability, demonstrating its effectiveness as a digital tool. The results confirm ExpoLine's potential to enhance museums' digital presence and serve as a model for future developments in virtual heritage preservation and interactive learning.
