Development of STEM Competences and Soft Skills for future engineers: Science Girl Camp

This article presents the main results of the implementation of the Science Girl Camp Program and the development of STEM competencies and soft skills for future engineers, highlighting how STEM fields represent areas of knowledge that have evolved throughout history. It details how the SGC has created teaching-learning spaces where participants explore various branches of engineering (such as electronics, robotics, renewable energy, mechanics, and computing) through playful and interactive activities with students and faculty from the Don Bosco University. These activities address problems related to science, the environment, and other STEM-related topics. The article describes the modules conducted through interactive workshops, conferences, business engagement via technical tours and motivational talks that broaden the business vision of the participants, as well as Impact Talks and mentoring sessions about women and STEM fields. Finally, it presents the results obtained from over 10 years of program execution and its impact on the participants.
