Roadmap of AIoT Implementation on Sustainable SCM in the Food Industry: A Requirements Framework
One of the most vital challenges faced by the human population is transforming all the procedures conducted in businesses and human consumption of natural resources methods into sustainable methods that preserve the environment. The interconnection of the organizations involved in the supply chain, provided by Supply Chain Management (SCM), is included in one of the demanding practices necessitating the sustainability transformation due to its harmful impact on the environment. To reach the goal of sustain ability transformation, the use of smart technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), is a prerequisite [14]. This paper aims to explore the effect of AIoT technologies on Sustainable Food Supply Chain Management, including the opportunities and challenges of such implementation. The scientific approach used in the thesis paper is a literature review method. The food SCM was investigated as these types of systems had a specific set of requirements and needs, resulting in the creation of a requirements framework.
