EcoParali: A Smart Stubble Management System
EcoParali is an innovative platform designed to address the severe problem of stubble burning in northern India, particularly in states like Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. After harvesting, farmers often burn stubble-crop residue left in fields-to clear land quickly for the next crop. This practice leads to harmful air pollution, soil degradation, and severe health risks. EcoParali offers a sustainable alternative by converting this agricultural waste into valuable products like bioenergy, animal feed, and compost. The platform serves as a digital marketplace, connecting farmers, buyers (companies) and businesses that can reform and reuse the stubble. Proposed application has two main modules, i.e. farmer and buyer. The farmer and buyer module have feature of registration, stubble submission, transaction management, and secure payment processing. EcoParali empowers farmers to earn additional income and reducing environmental harm. Buyers can also have utilized the stubble as a raw material of fuel, pulp& paper, biochar, biofuel, etc. EcoParali aims to create long-term, sustainable change in farming practices, fostering a circular economy where agricultural waste is turned into economic opportunities for farmers and businesses alike.
