A Hybrid PV/Wind Energy System with a Fuzzy Logic-Based Fast EV Charging System in a Micro Grid Environment
This paper proposes a new structure of renewable energy power system that involves fast charging of the electric vehicle (EV) using photovoltaic (PV) and wind energy systems in a micro-grid architecture. Since there is an ever-growing demand for effective transportation that does not harm the environment, the market for charging solutions is also tight. The twofold architecture uses an innovative fuzzy logic control strategy, enabling the implementation of MPPT control in real-time and with accuracy, with max PP looking for a smart behavior versus uninterruptable and variable environmental conditions. Simulation using MATLAB shows that the developed fuzzy logic controller is much better than the conventional one, such as HIC MPPT, concerning transition and reliability in power control. This approach of using renewable energy for the charging of EV ensures that environmental effects are reduced during the charging process. The findings show that the proposed system provides information that makes it possible to offer quick EV charging which is fundamental in changing the world's approach towards transportation to eco-friendly methods.
