Design and Economic Feasibility Assessment of a Wind Farm to Meet the Energy Demand of the University of the Isthmus, Juchitan Campus

The goal of this project is to develop an optimal solution for wind energy generation at the University of the Isthmus Juchitán campus, adhering to international standards and guidelines. This project involves analyzing the available wind resource at the site using specialized tools such as Windographer and WAsP software to assess wind potential. Additionally, the most suitable wind turbines for the specific site conditions have been selected, and losses associated with wake effects that may impact the efficiency of the wind farm have been evaluated. By integrating these components and conducting a technical-economic analysis with HOMER Pro software, the project also includes a study of the electrical infrastructure required to connect the wind system to the national electric grid. This project aims to provide a comprehensive solution for wind energy generation at the Juchitán campus, thereby promoting a model of sustainability and energy efficiency at the University of the Isthmus.
