Robot Welding Posture Optimization Method Based on Genetic Algorithm
When robots are welding workpieces with complex seams, such as corrugated plates, there may be significant changes in the welding gun posture, leading to excessive acceleration of the robot’s joint movements. This can cause severe shaking of the robot end effector, affecting the welding quality and even resulting in the robot’s overload emergency stop, thereby reducing processing efficiency. The welding gun posture can be adjusted in terms of working angle and travel angle, providing ample space for optimizing the robot processing performance. Therefore, this paper proposes a posture optimization method based on genetic algorithms. By using genetic algorithms to determine the optimal welding posture, the goal is to minimize the acceleration of the robot joint movements and achieve the smoothest welding trajectory.
